About Hi Fi Racks

Hi Fi Racks is a family run business based in the heart of rural England. It all started when we needed a rack for our own hi fi. We wanted a rack that would perform acoustically whilst being an attractive piece of furniture that looked good in our living room. With our constantly-changing hi fi, we also needed a rack that could grow and change as our system did, without needing to start from scratch every time.

As we couldn’t find anything on the market to meet our demanding brief, we decided to make our own rack. And we enjoyed it so much that we began making bespoke racks for other people – Hi Fi racks was born!

When we made the first few racks for customers, we delivered them in person to addresses ranging from Scotland to the south coast of England to gauge the response to our designs.  We were astonished by the amount of positive feedback we received about the products themselves as well as their design. Our customers’ comments have helped us perfect our designs over time.

How we work

We always work with solid wood, not MDF or veneer, and we pride ourselves on sourcing the finest quality hardwoods from around the world. The range is designed to be upgradable and adaptable to suit a customer’s changing needs. Each rack is individually handmade to meet the customer’s exact requirements and every piece is unique, with no two racks ever being exactly the same.
